Gao Gao means Big Big. He is the male giant panda of San Diego Zoo, and has sired two of the cubs so far. Gao Gao was found injured as a cub in the wild, and brought to Fengtongzhai Nature Reserve. He was given to the zoo in 2003. He was born around 1992, and he is rambunctious, inquisitive, and alert.
Bai Yun means White Cloud. She is the female giant panda of San Diego Zoo, and has given birth to three successful cubs so far. Bai Yun herself was the first successful birth at Wolong Giant Panda Research Center in China. She was born in 1991, and she is curious, unpredictable, and mischievous.
Mei Sheng means Born in the USA or Beautiful Life. He is a male, and the second cub born in San Diego Zoo. His parents are Bai Yun and Gao Gao, and he was born on August 19, 2003. Mei Sheng is now weaned from his mother.
Su Lin means A Little Bit of Something Very Cute. She is a female, and the third cub born in San Diego Zoo. Her parents are Bai Yun and Gao Gao, and she was born on August 2, 2005.
Tian Tian means more and more. He was born on August 27, 1997, at the Wolong Research Center, and was given to the zoo along with Mei Xiang. Mei Xiang is the female, and her name means Beautiful Fragrance. She was born on July 22, 1998 at the Wolong Research Center. On the picture, Tian Tian is at the top, with Mei Xiang at the bottom.
Tai Shan means Peaceful Mountain, and he is the first offspring of Tian Tian and Mei Xiang. At his first medical exam, they found out he was a boy, weighed 1.82 pounds, and was 12 inches long.
Lun-Lun is the female at Atlanta Zoo, and she was born on August 25, 1997 in Chengdu, China. She is "adopted" by Taiwanese rock star, Su Huilun, and weighs 105 - 115kg. 
Yang Yang is the male, and his name means Little Sea. He was born on September 9, 1997, and is "adopted" by three organizations in the Netherlands. He is playful and easygoing. 
Born on 6 September, 2006, Mei Lan has been doing well so far. She is the daughter of Yang Yang and Lun Lun, and her name means 'Atlanta Beauty'.
