The main reason this website was made, was because of the personal project. You could choose what you wanted to do for it, as long as it was something personal, and something that would take some time to do. We had months to complete it, lasting through the summer vacation.

It took me a while to think of what I was going to do. I loved making websites, and I loved pandas. It was my guide, who finally came up with the idea of making a site to educate people about giant pandas. Another goal was to try and get my html diploma, but that didn't work out. The site itself I completed in a week. Its the planning that took such a long amount of time.

The personal project is part of MYP (middle years program). It is centered around the Areas of Interaction, which are Homo Faber, Environment, Health & Social, Community & Service, and Approaches to Learning. For this project, I chose to base it on Homo Faber. It means man-made and it is about how and why humans create. It seemed like a good area, because I'm trying to improve the way I use html, xhtml, and css, and I'm trying to create a website for the prupose of educating people about the giant panda.
